Step 01. Pay

Step 02. Apprentice
The apprentice lineworkers at Central Power Coop works under general supervision of the Foreman the Lineman performs skilled line work in the operation, maintenance and repair of overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission systems. Learn and assist with operating, inspecting, and maintaining aerial devices, digger/derricks, excavation equipment, and other electric line related equipment. Assist Journeyman class with performing distribution switching, documentation and mapping information, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Step 03. Journeyman
Journeyman lineman at Central Electric Power Cooperative Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods, Maintain inventory levels to ensure that the production department have material to meet their production needs.
Step 04. Hiring
A high school diploma or equivalent is required plus at least Three years of apprenticeship training as a Lineman I or apprentice in the construction and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution lines in Central Electric Power Cooperative.
