Joshua Koon has been a lineworker for over 25 years, consistently demonstrating his commitment to excellence and safety in the field. As a member of IBEW Local 224, he has not only excelled in his technical skills but also in leadership, frequently leading teams on complex projects. After serving in the U.S. Army, 3rd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment, Josh was introduced to the line trade by a friend that was in an apprenticeship. Josh’s career started with the local 769 Union apprenticeship. After topping out as a Journeyman, he worked for a contract company before joining SRP. He has been a part of SRP’s transmission team for the past 15 years doing barehand 500kv and helicopter hoist crew work. His willingness to go above and beyond in emergency situations, often volunteering for storm recovery efforts, underscores his dedication to his community and his profession.
