Energy United is hiring linemen. EnergyUnited is the second largest provider of residential electricity in North Carolina and among the 20 largest electric cooperatives in the United States. More than a quarter-million consumers in parts of 19 North Carolina counties are in the Piedmont, including parts of Charlotte, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem. Headquartered in Statesville, N.C.
Step 01. Pay
Lineman pay range at Energy United is $26 - $44 per hour. EnergyUnited benefits and perks, including insurance benefits, retirement benefits, and vacation policy and Family health insurance.
Step 02. Apprentice
Lineman apprentices at Energy United will be responsible for construction, maintenance and operations. Use shovels, sledge hammers and 90 lb jack hammers. Perform aerial work in a safety belt in a safe and efficient manner
Step 03. Journeyman
Journeyman lineman at Energy United Observe all safety rules and regulations adopted by the Cooperative. All work rules adopted by the Cooperative. Provide the specialized technical skills necessary for the construction, operations and maintenance of a reliable electric system for the benefit of the member/consumer. Make recommendations for changes needed to improve the operations of assigned department as it relates to the position of Apprentice Lineman.
Step 04. Hiring
To become a Lineman at Energy United The Apprentice Lineman 1B shall receive training in the use of hot line tools, grounds, and personal protective equipment.
