Step 01. Pay

Step 02. Apprentice
Lineman apprentices at Gainesville Regional Utilities will be responsible for construction, maintenance and operations. Use shovels, sledge hammers and 90 lb jack hammers. Perform aerial work in a safety belt in a safe and efficient manner
Step 03. Journeyman
Journeyman lineman at Gainesville Regional Utilities Performs physical and technical construction, operation, maintenance and repair activities of the gas service and main lines and associated facilities and systems. Performs tapping and stopping procedures on pressurized gas mains and service lines. Installs, maintains and repairs service and main lines and Assists in training subordinates in work, performing the operation, maintenance, construction, and repair of gas facilities and systems.
