Step 01. Pay

Step 02. Apprentice
Lineworker apprentices at IDACORP you will experience with both sticking and gloving methods of work Apprentices will learn all aspects of Line work while completing on the job training (OJT) hours. Assist in the construction of new overhead and underground services and service upgrades. Operate heavy and light equipment including digger derricks, aerial lift devices, pulling and tensioning equipment, forklifts, dump trucks and various dirt equipment. Apprentice must, at all times, follow all safety policies and procedures
Step 03. Journeyman
Journeyman lineman at IDACORP Qualified electricians should install and check wiring. Electric appliances should have three-prong plugs. Keep cords away from heat and water. Never wrap cords around metal. Keep them away from foot traffic and Weatherproof outdoor electric outlets.
Step 04. Hiring
A Lineman performs highly skilled, journey-level transmission, distribution, and electrical work in the installation, construction, maintenance, and repair of underground and overhead electric transmission, distribution and service lines, transformers, meters, metering equipment and have the driver license at IDACORP.
