Details about Madisonville Community College Lineman Program
The Lineman certification is part of the Advanced Integrated Technology program at MCC. The objective of the Lineman course is to provide an opportunity for students to embark on a meaningful and rewarding career in the electrical line work industry. This is accomplished with the use of proven training methods by instructors with extensive experience in the utility industry. Upon completion of the class, our students will have all the necessary training needed to enter the Line Utility Industry. CDL license is recommended for employment in the Line industry. Our Lineman Training Program includes CDL training for those who need it.

Madisonville Community College’s Lineman Training is held at the West Kentucky Regional Training Center, also known as the Lisman Complex, located in Webster County, Kentucky. Positioned in the heart of Western Kentucky’s energy and industrial corridor, the Lisman Complex offers hands-on, utility-specific training in a rural setting that reflects the real-world environments where linemen work. Western Kentucky, a hub for regional workforce development, is known for its strong ties to the utility, coal, and manufacturing sectors—making it an ideal location for launching a lineman career. Students benefit from close industry partnerships, a supportive college environment, and access to high-demand certifications like CDL and pole-top rescue.
