Lineman Apprenticeships at Black Hills Power
The lineworker apprentice at Black Hills Power is responsible for a variety of tasks and accepts assignments from Line Supervisor on shift and shall be assigned to work directly with a 1st Class Lineman. Learns to perform those tasks required in the construction, maintenance or operation of electrical power transmission and distribution facilities. Lineman Apprentice I shall be assigned to a Line Supervisor on 1 of 4 rotating shift schedule: midnight to 08:00 a.m.; 08:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m.; and 04:00 p.m. to midnight and a swing-shift.

Journeyman lineman at Black Hills Power Provide operational support to install, remove and replace gas meters, complete meter routines and turn-on and shut-off activities as needed. May receive company training in gas operations or appliance repair.
Black Hills Power Lineman Job Hiring Process
"High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completed a qualified four (4) year apprenticeship program or equivalent required.
Must possess and maintain a valid Wyoming CDL Class A, with air brake endorsement or have the ability to obtain one within the first 90 days of employment."
