Lineman Apprenticeships at MidAmerican Energy

Lineworker apprentices at MidAmerican Energy will experience with both sticking and gloving methods of work Apprentices will learn all aspects of Line work while completing on the job training (OJT) hours. Assist in the construction of new overhead and underground services and service upgrades. Operate heavy and light equipment including digger derricks, aerial lift devices, pulling and tensioning equipment, forklifts, dump trucks and various dirt equipment. Apprentice must, at all times, follow all safety policies and procedures

Journeyman lineman at MidAmerican Energy Lineman constructs, maintains, and repairs overhead and underground transmission lines. Performs site preparation tasks, including digging holes or trenches, installing anchors, climbing poles, and using equipment like digger derricks, aerial lifts, pulling and tensioning equipment, forklifts, and dump trucks.

MidAmerican Energy Lineman Job Hiring Process

Be at least 18 age years old with a high school diploma. MidAmerican Energy Lineman required Must be an experienced journeyworker, with at least four years related experience.
