Being a powerline technician affords you the ability to work and live anywhere, earning a competitive wage in this exciting and dynamic career. WNCCs Powerline Construction & Maintenance program, located at our Alliance Campus, offers you different pathways from which to choose: you can earn a diploma in twelve months, or an associate degree in fifteen months. Regardless of the pathway you choose, you'll receive job placement assistance from our Career Pathways & Advising department upon graduation. Plus, WNCCs Powerline program incorporates the Merchant Job Training and Safety program curriculum, which is accredited by the U.S. Department of Labor for Electrical Powerline Installers & Repairers.

WNCC prepares you for a career as an Apprentice Lineman with a degree in Powerline Construction & Maintenance Technology. This degree is designed for you to immediately enter the workforce as an apprentice upon graduation. Being an apprentice is the first step to becoming a Journeyman Lineman.
