Apprentice at Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation requires to Perform basic and routine line duties under close direction and observation of more skilled, experienced technicians and of the Line Supervisor. Work on secondary underground and overhead live voltages under close supervision. Properly operate aerial equipment under direction. Work on de-energized circuits from the pole under close supervision. Fabricate pole assemblies both on the ground and on de-energized poles. Assist with all types of single and polyphase transformer installations. Assist with the installation, removal and relocation of transformers, lighting, secondaries, service drops, oil circuit breakers, poles, conductors, capacitors, regulators, or other line equipment. Assist with the installation and removal of instrument transformers, recording or indicating meters of all types. Make load and voltage tests. Assist with patrolling transmission and distribution lines, distribution and transmission switching, sectionalizing, and fusing.
