In addition, Central constructs and maintains transmission lines located throughout the state.

Step 02. Apprentice
Lineworker apprentices at Central Montana Electric will experience with both sticking and gloving methods of work Apprentices will learn all aspects of Line work while completing on the job training (OJT) hours. Assist in the construction of new overhead and underground services and service upgrades. Operate heavy and light equipment including digger derricks, aerial lift devices, pulling and tensioning equipment, forklifts, dump trucks and various dirt equipment. Apprentice must, at all times, follow all safety policies and procedures
Step 03. Journeyman
Journeyman lineman at Central Montana Electric Power Cooperative Repairs or rebuilds City equipment as necessary, including pumps, electric motors, boilers, compressors, valves, lawn mowers. Performs a variety of preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation, including inspecting, lubricating, and servicing equipment.
Step 04. Hiring
Lineman in Central Montana Electric Power Cooperative Five years’ experience in accounting or financial management required. Previous experience in a rural cooperative desired.
