Lineman Apprenticeships at Connecticut Natural Gas
Lineworker apprentices at Connecticut Natural Gas will experience with both sticking and gloving methods of work Apprentices will learn all aspects of Line work while completing on the job training (OJT) hours. Assist in the construction of new overhead and underground services and service upgrades. Operate heavy and light equipment including digger derricks, aerial lift devices, pulling and tensioning equipment, forklifts, dump trucks and various dirt equipment. Apprentice must, at all times, follow all safety policies and procedures
Connecticut Natural Gas Journeyman Lineman Jobs
Journeyman lineman at Connecticut Natural Gas Ability and willingness to perform heavy physical work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and at times for extended periods. Ability to stand a minimum of five to six hours on the ground – may be in a bucket on a line truck or at the top of a distribution pole. Ability to sit for a minimum of two to three hours – may be driving a truck or sitting in a manhole or an underground vault. Ability to move frequently to unload equipment and to install/maintain/repair equipment.
