Lineman Apprenticeships at Grant County Public Utility District

Lineworker apprentices at Grant County Public Utility District will experience with both sticking and gloving methods of work Apprentices will learn all aspects of Line work while completing on the job training (OJT) hours. Assist in the construction of new overhead and underground services and service upgrades. Operate heavy and light equipment including digger derricks, aerial lift devices, pulling and tensioning equipment, forklifts, dump trucks and various dirt equipment. Apprentice must, at all times, follow all safety policies and procedures

Journeyman lineman at Grant County Public Utility District Perform various administrative and purchasing functions to support the efficient operation of purchasing and contracting processes. Develop and administer in conjunction with project manager public works projects, professional services, services, and material contracts and Monitor and facilitate contracts from advertisement to contract completion. Includes providing support to ensure orderly and effective contract management.

Grant County Public Utility District Lineman Job Hiring Process

A Lineman at Grant County Public Utility District CompTIA A+ and Net+ proficiency certifications (or ability to obtain within the first 18 months of employment). Must be maintained on 3 year renewal cycles from date of certification and One year experience in a computer environment support role or a user application support role is strongly.
