Step 01. Pay

Step 02. Apprentice
The lineworker apprentice at BHI Energy is responsible for a variety of tasks and accepts assignments from Line Supervisor on shift and shall be assigned to work directly with a 1st Class Lineman. Learns to perform those tasks required in the construction, maintenance or operation of electrical power transmission and distribution facilities. Lineman Apprentice I shall be assigned to a Line Supervisor on 1 of 4 rotating shift schedule: midnight to 08:00 a.m.; 08:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m.; and 04:00 p.m. to midnight and a swing-shift.
Step 03. Journeyman
Journeyman lineman at BHI Energy constructs, installs, repairs, maintains and removes distribution and transmission circuits, substations and associated facilities. Other duties of the position include rigging poles on both energized and de-energized circuits, installing transformers, voltage regulators, capacitors and reclosures, replacing fuses, working on underground equipment and making repairs on energized equipment. In addition, the Lineworker may be required to perform tasks generally associated with lower rated classifications.
Step 04. Hiring
Lineman at BHI Energy required lineman card, must possess and maintain a valid CDL driver’s license. Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA required. Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen and must be able to climb.
