Pay is by base, not one company scale. The Travis AFB Journeyman Lineman (Utility Electrical Worker) posting in September 2026 listed $75.30/hr, 40 hours guaranteed, LineCo, 401k, and paid holidays, vacation, sick, and personal days. The Fort Riley Journeyman Lineman (Maintenance Electrical Worker) posting the same month listed $51.33/hr, 40 hours guaranteed, 401k, and health insurance. Confirm the live figure on the posting for that site. We do not invent a Glassdoor average.
The line seats we saw in September 2026 were journeyman. Both asked for a CDL-A, U.S. citizenship, and military-base clearance. The hall depends on the base: IBEW Local 1245 on the Travis posting, IBEW Local 304 on the Fort Riley posting. Our team was not sure whether they run a regular apprentice seat.
Inspection, switching, and repair on transformers, metal-clad gear, manholes, cable, relays, and meters. Cranes, digger, aerial. On-call rotation. Emergency restore and remote assignment in weather. Travis (Fairfield, CA) listed 5 kV, 15 kV, and 115 kV. Fort Riley listed 15 kV and 35 kV. Their contact page lists current operating locations at other Army and Air Force sites. We only name those we can cite.

They hire on their Jobscore career page (careers.jobscore.com/careers/clpinc), not on the Lineman Central career center, unless they post there. In September 2026 that page listed the Travis journeyman seat (applications through Sep 11) and the Fort Riley journeyman seat (through Sep 12), plus other Field titles. Confirm what is still open. Apply on this page searches our board. When they post with us, the job shows under live openings here and the apply click is counted.
