LCEC is hiring linemen. LCEC provides reliable, cost-competitive electricity to more than 230,000 customers throughout a five county service territory located in Southwest Florida. LCEC employ approximately 400 skilled employees and are one of more than 830 electric distribution cooperatives located throughout the United States.
Step 01. Pay
The average annual salary for a lineworker at LCEC is $63,800.
Step 02. Apprentice
Lineworker apprentices at LCEC will experience with both sticking and gloving methods of work Apprentices will learn all aspects of Line work while completing on the job training (OJT) hours. Assist in the construction of new overhead and underground services and service upgrades. Operate heavy and light equipment including digger derricks, aerial lift devices, pulling and tensioning equipment, forklifts, dump trucks and various dirt equipment. Apprentice must, at all times, follow all safety policies and procedures
Step 03. Journeyman
Journeyman lineman at LCEC Perform construction and maintenance duties of overhead and underground facilities for electrical distribution and transmission.
Step 04. Hiring
To become a Lineman in LCEC required High school diploma or equivalent. Proof of completion of a certified line worker apprentice program and/or four (4) years of experience working as a line worker. Commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A. Able to meet physical demands of duties.
