NRDB Utilities LLC is a fiber contractor out of Ontario, New York. They place aerial and underground fiber, splice it, and put the ground back. Not Rochester Gas and Electric. Not a power utility. The work uses bucket trucks, poles, lashers, and drills.
Step 01. Pay
NRDB Utilities pay
Pay is on the posting, not a journeyman scale. The Aerial and Underground Utilities listing they had up in October 2026 showed $18 an hour. That posting calls the seat a lineman in their underground and aerial construction division. The work it describes is fiber: pulling cable, lashing strand, a bucket truck, and climbing poles up to 50 feet. It also listed 401(k), health insurance, paid time off, and a chance to move up. No wage was on the other open titles when we looked. Confirm the live figure on their jobs page.
The October 2026 Aerial and Underground Utilities posting asked for a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and comfort in a bucket truck, on poles, and in manholes. It did not say CDL. It said the work can mean out-of-town travel during the week, and that a person may work aerial or underground. Our team was not sure which hall, if any, covers the work. We do not invent a local.
Fiber construction out of Ontario, New York (Wayne County, near Rochester). Their site lists aerial placement, underground placement, splicing, and land restoration after the dig. Tools named on the October 2026 posting: plow, mini excavator, missile, aerial lift, lasher, and hand tools. They build strand, lash cable, rod and rope conduit, and hand dig. New York State lists the LLC as filed September 9, 2022, at 5781 Coppersmith Trail, Ontario, NY 14519. Still active as of the 2024 biennial statement.
Step 04. Hiring
How they hire
They hire on their own career page, not on the Lineman Central career center, unless they post there. In October 2026 that page listed Aerial Fiber Optic Technician, Underground Fiber Optic Technician, Drill Operator, and Site Restoration Technician, all based in Ontario. They also had an HVAC sales seat up. That is not this work. A note to Lineman Central said crews run up and down the East Coast. Their site names Ontario. This page maps New York until they confirm other states. Apply on this page searches our board. When they post with us, the job shows under live openings here and the apply click is counted.
HQ in Ontario, NY (5781 Coppersmith Trail). They told Lineman Central that crews run the East Coast. Their site names Ontario, and one posting says out-of-town travel during the week. We only map New York until they name other states.
